Santa Fe Caboose Shipping

CABOOSE UPDATE: John Flinn -- Cabooses arrived in Elk Grove on Wednesday , February 26, 1997. Labeling was done on Saturday March 1, 1997 and UPS picked up the cabooses on Monday, March 3, 1997. 1,138 cabooses were shipped to 650 supporters of our club via UPS. 55 cars were picked up by 19 members and 17 cars were sent to 11 supporters via US mail. They look GREAT!!! Lionel put the breakwheel on the inside of the platform per our request. All of these cars where packed in less than 3 hours.

A special thanks goes out to all who attended the shipping of the cabeese (plural for caboose) Herb Koch, Bob Ciolino, Ted Cwik , John Flinn, Peter Jilbert, Jim McCutcheon, Dan Olech, Rich Thayer, Gary Statkus, Bob Lewis, Dwight Safter, Jerry Brettschneider, Art Schmitt, Bob Alles, Jr., Norbert Olaska, and Walter Sehnert, Jr.

Also a special thanks to Irwin Bross for designing the data base and printing the shipping labels and to all the people who helped enter the orders.
