CLASSES OF MEMBERS
The following policy remains in effect after its adoption on 10/03/2007 until it is either modified or rescinded at a later date by a majority vote of the current members of the Board of Directors.
Membership
Classes
Four classes of membership currently exist within the Club. They are:
1. Associate (A)
2. Honorary (H)
3. Regular (R)
4.
Long Distance (LD)
A membership class for long distance members
(those whose address is greater than 100 miles from the clubhouse) is being
established beginning in 2008.
An Associate membership is created when a non-member purchases a Club Car as part of the purchase transaction. The only benefit accompanying an Associate Membership is the receipt of the quarterly Prairie State Express newsletter.
Regular Memberships and Long Distance Memberships are created through the payment of dues on an annual basis. These memberships include the following benefits:
Voting Privileges (one vote per family), Participation in Run-meets and Special Club Functions, Periodic Newsletters, the Quarterly Prairie State Express Newsletter plus 10% off Club Cars and Retail Shop Purchases.
Honorary memberships are created through Board action and generally are business related and do not expire. These memberships include the following benefits:
Participation in Run-meets and Special Club Functions, Periodic Newsletters, and the Quarterly Prairie State Express Newsletter
Membership
Year
The membership year is calendar based and begins on January 1st and ends on December 31st.

Coverage
Each membership is family based and covers all members and their immediate family members residing at the same address.

Categories
Memberships fall into the two general categories of New or Renewal.
Annual
Dues Amount
The annual dues for a Regular membership are set at $150.
The annual dues for Long Distance memberships are set at $40.
An Honorary Membership is free of charge.
An Associate membership is tied to the purchase of a Club Car and is currently set at $3.00.

Payment Renewing Members
Long Distance membership annual dues
are payable in full on or before January 31st of the current
membership year.
Regular membership annual dues for renewing members are payable as follows:

Payment – New Members
Long Distance membership annual dues are payable in full along with the $30.00 Initiation Fee on or before January 31st of the current membership year.
Regular membership dues for new members are payable as follows:
New members joining on or after November 1st of the current membership year may pay their annual dues using the same payment schedule as renewing members. Their membership shall be in effect from January 31st through December 31st of the new membership year.
An additional one time only initiation fee of $30 will be added to all Regular new memberships. This additional fee is payable in full and must be included with the first dues payment.
Proration
of New Members Dues
New members joining during the current membership year shall have their dues prorated as follows:
Late
Fees
Members failing to pay the portion of their annual dues remaining within the above dues payment schedules shall be assessed a late payment fee of $5.00 if the payment is late 15 to 30 days and a fee of $10 if the payment is late by 31 to 45 days. If the payment is more than 45 days late, the membership is deactivated and will be reinstated for the current membership year only when dues payment in full is received plus the late fee.
Important Note: The Board of Directors retains the right to change, alter, or revoke any right or privilege accorded by it to any class of members at any time and without prior notice. The Board of Directors also retains the right to create additional classes of membership with, subject to limitations contained in the By-Laws of the Club, such rights and privileges as the Board may, in its discretion determine to be appropriate.
