The Chicago & NorthWestern Railway Company is now one of the latest fallen flags, having been absorbed into the fold of the Union Pacific. The C&NW itself, was the result of over 160 railroad companies, making it one of the largest railroads in the United States. It was the only railroad to construct lines west from Chicago, giving it the unique distinction of being the single railroad that can truly call Chicago home. All other railroads actually originated elsewhere. This car highlights the modernization of the C&NW in its last few years with this highly detailed scale 3-bay cylindrical hopper. Join us as we celebrate our tribute to this fallen flag with this specially designed Cylindrical Hopper. The car is C&NW GREEN with the large C&NW herald presented proudly on its side. As Lionel promotes, "this mammoth car, with six opening hatches on the roof, detailed lattice-work, and cat walk are cars you'll be proud to own and display."
