The “City of San Francisco” car takes us to the 1930’s when the Chicago and Northwestern and Southern Pacific joined with the Union Pacific in running trains to San Francisco. This car presents the three heralds on a special silver band. Add it to any UP Passenger train and you have the CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO heading from Chicago to San Francisco. Add it to a fast freight where the car advertises the City of San Francisco route! It is highlighted with special red striping on the Union Pacific gray / yellow background, and sprung trucks.
