The Chicagoland Lionel Railroad Club, Inc. was inaugurated the summer of 1994 by us, a group that wanted a large permanent layout to run three rail, Tinplate trains. We currently have about 305 members. Our modular layout was built by our members. We are continually adding to and enhancing our layout modules. We exhibit our Traveling Layout at shows and shopping malls.

Our group has coordinated with Lionel Trains, Corp. to produce limited edition cars customized to our design. The funds earned from the sale of these cars are used to defray the cost of the club's planned permanent layout and other expenses. Members are kept informed of the progress and details of each car produced through the monthly newsletter. When a car is shipped, information about the next club car will be enclosed.
