OCTOBER, 2005 NEWSLETTER
FINALLY after a little more than ten years, one of the major
dreams of having a permanent home to run trains has been realized. Alterations
and improvements to the clubhouse are done, and the club is getting ready to
run trains at the members' leisure and convenience. This is truly an exciting
time to be a member of the CLRC!
ON
OCTOBER 29, 2005, the club will
be having a Grand Opening to celebrate this achievement. A separate sheet with
details and a map are enclosed. Members who attend will be amazed at what has
been done and what the potential is for greater things for the club. This is
your club and your building and it's up to you to come and take advantage of
this opportunity to run trains in your own clubhouse. The afternoon "members
only" time will have special activities not listed on the general information
sheet. Plan to attend and to visualize the next major step – the
construction of the permanent layout.
NOMINATIONS
FOR OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS for
the 2005 election closed on September 30, 2005. The election meeting will be
held at the clubhouse on Friday, November 18, 2005. A ballot is enclosed with this newsletter. You may vote by
mail or in person on election night. Details are noted on the ballot. All the
candidates are incumbents, and your vote will also be a vote of confidence in
them.
