Speaking of Open Houses,
please consider supporting the Club by coming out and working for an hour or
two at an Open House. Many hands make light work and we need to man the Gift
Shop, Commissary/Tea Room and the Membership Table. Even one hour would be a
great help.
MEMBERSHIPS and DUES:
2006 dues are due now! If you forgot about them, please send them in today.
$40.00 covers the year. Rich Thayer reports that we picked up 5 new members at
our December Open House.
GREAT CAKE: Bob Stashak
brought in a KILLER Pineapple Upside Down cake. The kids were upset because
they forgot their fake ID's and couldn't have any.
Congratulations to our
newly elected Officers and Board Members.
CLUB CARS: John Flinn
advises that the Red Caboose, the Burlington ACL and the City of New Orleans cars are almost gone. If you have been sitting on the fence, make your
decision soon or it may be too late.
SWIPE CARD ENTRY:
Guidelines are being established to implement a swipe card entry system into
the Club's Train House. More information soon!
BUILDING OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE:
The former Building Planning Committee has a new name with Swav Kojro as it's
Chairman.
LAYOUT COMMITTEE: Swav
Kojro has established the 2nd Saturday of February 10am as the 1st meeting of
the Layout Committee. All are welcome to join.
E-MAIL UPDATES: Members
are requested to forward their e-mail address to Rich Thayer at membership@
clrctrains.com. Don't miss quick messages about short date events because we
couldn't reach you by e-mail.
YARDMASTER COMMITTEE; A
Yardmaster Committee has been appointed with Lyle Eimen tapped to be the first
Yardmaster Committee Chairman. Irwin Bross has been appointed as a Committee
Member. They will develop a Yardmaster Policy/Guidelines and administer layout
usage at Run-Meets and Open Houses.
High Signals until next
time.
